Corn Maze Trail

Sep 21, 2018

If you’re looking for the best places this autumn to go experience some family fun and exhilarating mazes, look no further! Follow the #BCCornMazeTrail - but beware, some of these mazes contain demonic and ghastly sightings that will leave you in a state of panic.

Here are the 5 locations that will take you along the Corn Maze Trail:

1. Chilliwack Corn Maze

The Chilliwack Corn Maze was one of the first farms to participate in the growing agri-tourism industry. Two families, the Bruinsma’s and the Taekema’s, have been operating the corn maze since 1999. Each year attractions are added or improvements are made, along with a new maze design to keep the public looking forward to finding out what is new on the farm.

At the farm, their hope is to bring families and friends a place to have fun while they learn and play together in the country. Each and every year the Chilliwack Corn Maze creates a completely new design that is based on some sort of tropical theme, spanning 12 acres. If you’re concerned you may get lost in this giant maze, don’t fret - passports and challenges are provided to help navigate you through the maze. And for the younger ones, head on indoors to enjoy the hay bale maze!

2. Fantasy Farms

Entering their 26th year, Reapers Haunted Attraction in Chilliwack is one of the scariest indoor theatrical horror experiences in Western Canada. An insane asylum-themed haunted maze brings the horrors of crazed patients, to twisted Doctors and Hospital staff, like you’ve never seen before.

Opening on the night of September 30th, prepare yourself… the screams you’re about to hear are anything but fake. If we haven’t spooked you enough, we dare you to enter the Blackout Maze of Terror - the second attraction on the farm. With little to no light, your worst nightmares are about to become a reality… including a Chainsaw Massacre experience.

Note: Reapers is not recommended for children under 10 years of age at night, but see the special daytime Boo Tours.

3. Maan Farms Country Experience & Estate Winery

For the younger kiddos, try out the Classic Corn Maze, which includes all of the regular farm attractions - from the petting zoo, pumpkin patch, pedal carts and more. Or if you’re wanting something a little more unique, try the Flashlight Corn Maze, which is a 10 acre themed Winnie the Pooh maze that starts at dusk.

Now last but not least, the maze that is bound to give you nightmares for the foreseeable future - and the scariest corn maze in Canada… Maan Farms is stepping it up to a whole new level with their Haunted Corn Maze. With over 5 acres of pure terror, consisting of scares that play on your senses like never before. They’ve truly taken fear to new heights with a built in slide, bridge, and shocking scares from above! There is nowhere you’ll be safe and nowhere we won’t be waiting for you!

*Reminder: WEAR BOOTS! Even though the entire Haunted Corn Maze has a gravel path. Maan’s is open rain or shine. Farms can and will be wet and muddy! Appropriate clothing includes knee-high boots, rain jacket, umbrella, toques and gloves, etc.
